Sneak Peak for Tom and Alisha!

These are a few of the pictures from Tom and Alisha's wedding this weekend. I will be posting more as I get through them. It was a windy day, but luckily we had enough trees around us! We started with pictures at University and returned to the church for family pictures. They had a really large wedding party for it covered the entire length of the bridge at UND! They also had a really neat get-a-way car! These are pictures that I will be posting later so keep looking!

Photo Shoot In The Garden!

I had a photo shoot at a families garden. It was really fun to see how this little 18 month old boy liked to outside and play in the garden. I got to hear stories about how he would get covered in mud while they were working on the garden. At the beginning of the season, they were in hope of a small pumpkin to bring home. Well, their small pumpkin got really really big!

Collages of Jonica & A Startling Eye Shot!

I created a few collages of this sweety pie. Now, when you add black and white effects to your package, I throw in a few collages that I have created.
I also did a special effect with her eyes in Photoshop. She had beautiful eyes to begin with but now they are sprakling. These effects are usually Photoshop, not the actual picture. People have asked me, "How do you get such great color quality in your pictures?" The first part has to do with taking a great picture. The second part has to do with knowing your way around Photoshop!

Curly Sue and Her Big Eyes!

This little girl was full of energy today! We started out with a pretty white dress. After we were done with this outfit, I pulled out my dress up outfits. Tutus, boa's, umbrella's, and flower hair bands. They always make for a great play date. It feels more like a time to play then to take photos. This way, I get more "candid shots" as well as real smiles!

Peyton's Baby Announcements

I created two different baby announcements. As you can see, each has it's own look. I will be excited to see which one they like better. Which one do you like better and why?

Meet Peyton Elizabeth Varnson

So little and precious!

The big brother wanted to help me take pictures!

Today I had a photo shoot with Peyton. She was 2 weeks old today. I couldn't believe the hair that she already had. Her blues eyes were wide open for the entire shoot.

We took a couple different shots and worked with natural lighting. I can't wait to watch her grow. We will be doing more pictures during her first year of life. Today, she squirmed pretty good, considering she is only 2 weeks old!

Her big brother wanted to help. He is use to make taking pictures of only him so today was a new experience for him. He did very well. He even helped me make Peyton smile;)

Jeffrey and Samantha Schake

It was my first wedding of the season with a temperature below 90+ degrees! On Friday, the winds gusted up to 40 mph so I was very happy that they didn't continue into Saturday.

This couple got married in a little church in Manvel, ND. They had a country themed wedding with sunflowers and mini tractors for thank you's. They brought their toys with for a few pictures.....so jealous! I, not having ever been in a new Corvette, didn't really know what to do with it at first.....could I even touch it without scratching it? Ah, I thought my head! Well, they helped me figure out that it was okay to put flowers on it..it doesn't scratch the easily!
The clouds were gorgeous yesterday. The sun worked with me, giving me the chance to get a few neat shots! It was a perfect day for a wedding!

Mr and Mrs. LeVay

Congrats Mr. and Mrs LeVay

What a great looking wedding crew!

Sweet and romantic pictures...just what the bride ordered!

What you don't see in this picture is that it was 90+ degrees and high humidity!

I love the classic red door. I know that everybody uses it, but it's just that good that you have to use it over and over and over again!
The Bride rockin out!

I loved the boys in this picture. They definitely have style.

A real smile inspired by letting the bride and groom enjoy a minute can make for one heck of a great non-posed picture with true emotion of the day!

I love to pull the bride out in front to focus on her while the bridesmaids are doing something cute in the background.

Men sporting some style.

The music at the ceremony was great. All themed from Irish music. Loved it!

The groom with his two boys.

Showing some leg..well, except for the youngest who is wondering what's going on!

That looks very comfy!

How high can you jump?

Woo Hoo!

What a beautiful bride!

This was a really neat wedding. The pastor was the bride's dad. That was pretty neat for him. They played Celtic music while the wedding party and bride walking in. While the wedding party walked out, it was one of the classic Irish songs that you would hear at a bar. I loved it.

It was another hot and humid wedding of the season this Saturday. I believe it was 90+ at 7pm when we were doing pictures in downtown Grand Forks. I worked very quickly because it was really hot. I didn't want sweat to be dripping from everyone's face! The bride loved the look of downtown so this is where we took the group shots. We did very casual poses as well as a few traditional.
