Schultz Family

Another wonderful fall day. Of course, these days will soon be at there end but today let's not think about the cold coming!
This family managed to get all their schedules together to get family pictures done. As you can image, it was very hard. They took pictures for their parents who are going to be celebrating many years of marriage in November. What a sweet thing to do. I bet they will love it!

By the 80 degree weather, you would have never thought that it was October 9th, 2010. We have been having such beautiful weather that I 'm starting to get concerned about the winter ahead of us. Let's not focus on that!
Let's focus on this couple. Keith and Kristi had a wonderful wedding. The only set back was when the lady at the salon put her eyelashes on backwards! You'd think they would know how to do that but apparently not. She had to redo her make-up at the church...poor thing! We did run behind a bit but do to a wonderful "listening" wedding party, we were able to catch up. I work well under pressure.
This couple warmed my heart. They were so sweet and caring. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were all family members. How cool is that? They got married at Sacred Heart and the reception was at the Ramada. They even invited us to eat with them, which is always greatly appreciate when you are photographing them for ten hours.

Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Getz. Like your dad said in his speech, if you have half the love that surrounds you, you will have enough love for eternity! (Sigh)

Josh & Carrie E-Session

We had yet another beautiful fall day to take pictures. I have been really lucky with great weather this year! We started in downtown and then moved to the Myra Museum. I like these two different locations because they offer a wide array of backgrounds!
Carrie and Josh are a great couple. They were a lot of fun and easy to work with. They had wonderful smiles! They will be getting married next fall! They are going to make a beautiful bride and handsome groom the day of their wedding.

The Simons

It was 70 plus degrees for this photo shot. I'd call that a blessing, considering you never know what North Dakota will give you at this time of year. This family was fun to work with. At first, everyone was really serious. I threatened to dance like a chicken if they didn't give me some real smiles.. ha ha ha. Well, it worked. We got some great family shots. The son will be graduating this year so I'm sure these are pictures they will forever treasure.

Evan and Emily

After rescheduling due to 40 mph winds, we had a beautiful morning. The breeze was a little cold, but you have to expect that in fall. This couple will be getting married in Michigan so I won't be photographing their wedding. They are both attending UND. Emily is nursing while Evan is in aviation. They hope to reside back home in Michigan. (I don't blame them for they said they have fall all the way until the end of November!)

Photoshop Technique!

Photoshop is an amazing tool. You can do sooooo much with it. In the above pictures, you will see one that has a telephone wire, a puddle, and etc in it. Sometimes you can't help but get that in the picture because there isn't anywhere else to take it. But, thanks to Photoshop, you can fix it! Can you see the differences? For those of you wondering how I do it, it's combination of many tools in Photoshop. (I'm sorry I'm not going to go into specifics). It does take time, but it's well worth it. Any professional photographer should be familiar with Photoshop!
