Mr and Mrs. LeVay

Congrats Mr. and Mrs LeVay

What a great looking wedding crew!

Sweet and romantic pictures...just what the bride ordered!

What you don't see in this picture is that it was 90+ degrees and high humidity!

I love the classic red door. I know that everybody uses it, but it's just that good that you have to use it over and over and over again!
The Bride rockin out!

I loved the boys in this picture. They definitely have style.

A real smile inspired by letting the bride and groom enjoy a minute can make for one heck of a great non-posed picture with true emotion of the day!

I love to pull the bride out in front to focus on her while the bridesmaids are doing something cute in the background.

Men sporting some style.

The music at the ceremony was great. All themed from Irish music. Loved it!

The groom with his two boys.

Showing some leg..well, except for the youngest who is wondering what's going on!

That looks very comfy!

How high can you jump?

Woo Hoo!

What a beautiful bride!

This was a really neat wedding. The pastor was the bride's dad. That was pretty neat for him. They played Celtic music while the wedding party and bride walking in. While the wedding party walked out, it was one of the classic Irish songs that you would hear at a bar. I loved it.

It was another hot and humid wedding of the season this Saturday. I believe it was 90+ at 7pm when we were doing pictures in downtown Grand Forks. I worked very quickly because it was really hot. I didn't want sweat to be dripping from everyone's face! The bride loved the look of downtown so this is where we took the group shots. We did very casual poses as well as a few traditional.

3 Adorably Cute and Photogetic Girls

Even though it's not a smile, this picture is pretty precious!
Here are a few of the ways we tried to get her to smile:) Bouncing on the shoulder
Being tossed in the air
Walking with mommy and daddy

She's going to be going into 2nd grade this year!
She was so excited to get her picture taken that she'd almost jump into place!
"Why are you guys all talking and trying to make me smile...hehehehehehe?"
What an awesome smile!
Look at those startling blue eyes! I love the piggies.
Daddy with his girls!
They jumped right into picture taking. They were awesome!

I woke up to really dark skies and wasn't quit sure if I was going to be able to pull of a 30 minute photo shot starting at 9am. As the hour rolled by, it got a little lighter and less humid. By 9am, a decent morning. North Dakota is funny that way! Perhaps tomorrow it will be snowing? ( I bet those are the words that nobody wants to hear!) Due to very wet grass we were limited in where we could take pictures. There's nothing worse then laying in wet grass!

These three little girls were adorable! I could tell that they were going to love having their picture taken. They were shy for a whole two seconds followed by many smiles. The older two loved to get their pictures taken. The younger one wouldn't crack a smile for us. We tried about everything. It's amazing how a child may not be able to talk or walk, but they sure can control everyone around them. Even though she didn't smile, I still got a few great pictures. I always say a sober face is better then one filled with tears!

Anna and Josh Engagement Session

This is a very special ring. Josh's Grandpa had it made for his Grandma....now, it's Anna's turn to wear it!
The sun was shining through the branches to give this kiss a magical glow!
Engagement sessions should always capture a special moment between the couple.

A little PDA!

What a fun shot!

This couple traveled from out of town to take their engagement pictures today. We had both heard earlier this week that it was suppose to rain. Well, it didn't! The sun was bright but we managed to find some shade to take the pictures in. Shade was a great thing with the humidity and temperature today!
Anna liked when Josh smiles with his teeth instead of a grin. After a few minutes of inspiration from his future wife, he smiled with teeth the whole time! This couple will be getting married in April of 2011!

The Polasky's

The Polaksy's have never had a professional family picture taken. When they showed up, they were worried about where to put their hands, etc. I quickly got them to relax and "not over think" the poses. As you can see in the pictures, they did great! They turned out very nice.

When I take family shots I try to get mom and dad, just the kids, the whole family, and individual pictures. I made a few collages for the family because they deserve the special attention.

We had a lot of fun. It was really sticky and hot out, but it doesn't show in the pictures. That's a good thing! No body likes sweat rolling off their face in pictures!
